Overview
Canvas Connection is a collaboration between Volcanoview and Imagine Play Inspire — a creative evening for couples at the foot of Mt Taranaki, designed to help you slow down, laugh, reconnect, and make something meaningful together.
Imagine Play Inspire leads the guided experience: playful warm-ups, connection invitations, and co-creating a one-of-a-kind canvas to take home. Volcanoview hosts you with welcome drinks, seasonal small plates, and the warmth of the courtyard fire.
This isn't a stiff date night. It's a relaxed, social gathering — couples connecting with each other and with other good people in the room. No skill level needed. Just show up ready to play.
Arrive from 5pm and ease in: a welcome drink by the fire (Maude wine, cocktail or aperitivo). The guided experience runs 6–8pm. Stay on if you like — optional DJ from 8–10pm when the evening allows.
Bring another couple or two. The more the merrier — this night is built for connection.
This evening needs a minimum number of bookings to go ahead. If we don't quite get there, we'll let you know at least 7 days before the event.

Imagine Play Inspire brings the guided creative experience — connection, play, and your shared canvas. Volcanoview brings the setting, kitchen, bar, and hospitality at the foot of the mountain.
What's included
Welcome drink from 5pm
Arrive early and settle in by the courtyard fire with a welcome Maude wine, cocktail, or aperitivo — included in your ticket.
Guided creative experience (6–8pm)
Led by Imagine Play Inspire: playful warm-ups, connection invitations, and co-creating one shared canvas artwork to take home. Each couple works on one canvas together.
Volcanoview kitchen — three courses
Canapé on arrival, three seasonal small plates during the experience, and dessert. Eat, create, and enjoy without rushing — locally sourced, nourishing, Volcanoview style.
Bar open all evening
Wine, cocktails and low/no-alc pours available throughout. Your welcome drink is included; additional drinks at bar prices.
Optional: stay on till 10pm
When the evening allows — courtyard fire, good tunes, and a DJ set from 8–10pm. No extra ticket needed to linger.
Tickets
Tickets sold per person ($140 each). Each couple co-creates one shared canvas. Arrive from 5pm to settle in.
